VAAPI Support missing with Wayland

Hi,
thanks for this great Tool, its good working with it.

How is the work on VAAPI Support with Wayland ongoing? I tested Openshot and i was surprized that its supporting VAAPI on Fedora 35 with Wayland.

When is Shotcut coming out with Wayland support, i tired to logout and to login again with Xserver only for export.

You know the way open source works especially on Linux: those who want it should work on it. I am not currently. I doubt Brian is. Are you? This is not accepted as a bug; it is a suggestion since it would be a new capability. I will recategorize it as such.
