Funnily enough but I decided to test out how stable Shotcut really is by dropping about 800 videos (totaling just over 8 hours, with resolutions from 1080p to 4k and both avc and hevc) into the timeline. It took about 10-15 minutes to parse them (with a nice bar showing the progress) but had no crash and everything worked correctly, definitely no sound issues.
So you’ll need to give more details on what you’re doing, are you dragging to timeline, source, playlist? Maybe one of the files has unsupported audio codecs or is invalid. I’d try to start a new project and add them to the playlist and double click randomly on them to see if audio works.
