I’m new to Shotcut and need your help. I’m on Win 10 64 Shotcut Ver 25.12.31. The issue: I want to add to my mp4 visualization - circular audio visualizer. The problem is when I put the Audio Waveform Visualization and 360 Equirectangular to Stereographic on V1 where there the video is, my mp4 looks like a globe/ball. mp4 is on V1 and when I add color transparent to V2 and add both the visualizations to V2 to make it circular when play nothing is working. It’s like V1 is not connected to V2. I just want circular audio visualizer on my video without converting the video into some kind of a globe if I apply both visualizations to V1 where video is. Thanks for your help.
V2’s clip is “transparent” so you cannot see whatever 360 Equirectangular to Stereographic is going to do because it does not draw into the transparent clip. It runs before the audio visualization, but a transparent clip is also silent. Similarly, there is nothing to draw.
You need to move those filters to the Output. Click that in the top left corner to select it and go to Filters. You also need to change the order of the filters because you want the 360 filter to modify what the audio visualization draws.
Output done, the filters order done and ended up with the globe. What am I doing wrong? The circular audio visualizer works but the globe issue. Thanks
Oh, sorry, I was wrong about the placement of the 360 video. There is a known technique for this somewhere, but I forget and too busy now to be bothered to look. @ai_bot might be able to help if you could not find it with search or until someone else responds.

Let me help you with creating a circular audio visualizer without getting the globe effect. Based on Dan’s (shotcut’s) comments and my research, here’s what you need to do:
First, remove your current setup.
Create the visualization in this order:
Place your video on V1
Add the Audio Waveform filter to the Output (not to any track)
Adjust the Audio Waveform settings as needed
Key points:
The 360 Equirectangular to Stereographic filter is what’s causing your video to look like a globe
You don’t actually need this filter to create a circular audio visualizer
The Audio Waveform filter should be placed on the Output rather than on individual tracks
To apply the filters correctly:
Click on “Output” in the top left corner of the player window
Go to the Filters panel
Add the Audio Waveform Visualization filter
Adjust its settings to get the circular effect you want
The reason your current setup isn’t working is because:
The transparent V2 track isn’t connected to the audio as Dan mentioned
The 360 Equirectangular to Stereographic filter is designed for 360-degree video conversion and isn’t needed for audio visualization
If you need additional help with specific Audio Waveform settings, please let me know and I can provide more detailed guidance. Also note that in version 25.12.31 (which you’re using) there have been some improvements to video processing modes that might affect filter behavior.
