Shotcut does not seem to accept photo HEIC files from my iPhone. I have been converting them to jpg in order to use them but its tedious. Is there any other option available?
Steps to Capture JPEG Directly
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap Camera.
Tap Formats.
Select Most Compatible instead of High Efficiency.
From now on all your photos will be in JPG

Thanks Patrice. I knew I could change the iphone settings but heic has advantages (smaller file size being one) over jpg so would prefer to leave that. I was hoping there was a way to get Shotcut to accept heic but I guess not. Thatnks for the conversion link.
HEIC is only supported on macOS and Linux Flatpak and some distro-builds for technical reasons.
Hi Dan it seems Capcut accepts heic files but I far prefer using Shotcut. Keep up the good work.
