Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
- Put several audio clips in the timeline, recommended a few minutes at least, and they should extend beyond the current window (should create a horizontal scrollbar).
- Add the “Compressor” audio filter to the track (not the clips individually).
- As soon as the compressor is added, scroll to reveal more of the timeline.
- In a new test, repeat the first two steps but then immediately add another filter to the track or grab the fade in/out handle and attempt to drag it for a clip.
The results I get are that:

The audio waveforms are either removed entirely beyond the current window OR they look corrupted, and:

Attempting to quickly make more changes after adding the filter sometimes crashes Shotcut after 30 seconds or so of hanging (this is intermittent).
I have attached a screenshot of the waveform corruption, as well as a log from my most recent crash.
