Is there a way to apply a filter to part of a clip while leaving the rest unaffected? For instance, if part of a clip is over-exposed, can that part be adjusted with a brightness filter while not affecting the correctly-expoded parts of the clip?
in the time line, put the play head where you want the filter to start, hit S, move to the end, press S, click the new segment, apply the filter.
I think that defines a new clip, but I’m not sure of the terms.
Thanks Carl - that seems to be the best solution for now. when “keyframable filter parameters” from the Road Map come in we should be able to ease in and out of the filters, which will be nice; however, I imagine that implementing that for all filters will be huge.
