Hello all, had my baby Pixel for day and a half now. Something I find really odd is that the camera defaults to 4:3 mode (12MP) and if you want 16:9 (8.4MP) it’s just the cropped frame.
Which mode are you all using? Is it better to just keep it in 4:3? Which is better for sharing photos for family members to print?

Sounds like your camera poorly interpolates 4:3 to 16:9 and this lacks quality.
In general I use 4:3 to get the largest file possible. Then you can always crop it to whatever format you want if required. Sharing is also probably better as the image will occupy more real estate on a vertical screen.
