Unable to add 96 kHz Wav file to project

Hi there. First post here — big thanks to Shotcut for the amazing program. I am currently finishing up a music video and I’m trying to add a 96 kHz wav file to an audio track (I already have a 44 kHz wav file as a place holder) but when I drag it into the second audio track, nothing happens. I’ve tried multiple times to no avail. (I also searched the site to see if anyone else had this issue but didn’t find anything.) Thanks in advance for the help.

I tested with both of the 96kHz clips on this site and they both work for me:

You do not state the version of Shotcut you are using.
Maybe there is something else unique about your file that does not work.

Can you show some screenshots of your project. In particular, show a screenshot of the properties panel for you .wav file.

Here is one I tested:

Thank you for the prompt reply. I actually tried a different route — instead of dragging it from my desktop to the project, I selected “open file” from the menu and that seemed to do the trick. I’m 99% certain I just dragged the original wav file (the place holder) from my desktop, so that’s how I proceeded with the wav file I was having difficulty with. But it seems to be working now. (For what it’s worth, I’m using 21.06.09.) Thank you again!
