Note to Ubuntu OS users: I was running 16.04 Ubuntu but could not run the latest Shotcut v.20.10.21. I upgraded to 18.04 and now the latest version of Shotcut runs fine.
BTW: Ubuntu 18.04 is much cleaner and seems to run faster.
