Ubuntu 20, clicking "filters", causes crash

Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

uname -a reports:
Linux ThinkPad-X1-Carbon-Gen-9 5.14.0-1044-oem #49-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 27 12:26:11 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Shotcut version 22.06.23, installed from snap store

I have three video tracks in the timeline. I select one clip on the top timeline and then,

Click on the menu “filter” and it crashes with:

libDeckLinkAPI.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Not sure what to do. Thanks.

There is not a menu named “filter”. Can you be more specific about what you are clicking on? A screenshot would be helpful.

That message in the log is information unrelated do your problem. There might be more clues if you share the entire log (this forum allows you to attach files).

Does the Filters panel show up for you?
Can you add a filter to a clip that is not in the timeline?
Is the crash specific to the one clip/file, or does it crash for all files?

Sorry, the menu item was “Filters”. However, I tried to reproduce the error and it is not happening. I will try and find the .mlt file that was causing it and post a screenshot later.
