when I drag a clip in the timeline onto the right, the transition does not occur, but it occurs when I drag over the left.
is this a bug?

Transitions can be made by overlapping right to left or left to right.

Working fine with me. um I guess it’s not bug it’s just you don’t know how to do it.
Works for me too on multiple operating systems and computers.
It certainly looks like it isn’t working although it has always worked for me. Have you tried (re-)installing the latest version of Shotcut? That would be my suggestion in your case.
I uninstall and reinstal it but result is the same.
but I noticed that if the “Ripple trim and drop” icon is active, this happens. in other case this error does not happen.
It’s not an error. When Ripple trim and drop is active the clips are pushed right. It’s by design…
