The timeline doesn’t show up but the bar does, from what I’ve seen this is a common problem and I’ve seen a lot of people left in the dust when it comes to this, I shouldn’t have to go out of my way to change base settings to get the most basic of basic tools to work right, please address this as most replies I’ve seen do not help.
You need to add something to the timeline for it show something.
I’ve been a member of this forum for more than 3 years and I think this is the first time I see someone mentioning this problem. Where are all these lot of people ?

Maybe those guys forget to add a clip to the timeline. Can you show us your workflow and Shotcut version. BTW, since this is your first post, welcome to the forum.
