Shotcut version 24.11.17
Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Not sure how to do it.
For another trouble where I sometimes see white screens if crossfading between images and an export problem, I did some tests in a new project.
(See topic: … )
Just opened the two pictures.
Put them in timeline.
Did a normal transition between both.
Then I played with the playtime of both pictures between 4 and 6 seconds playtime.
I also played with the buttons on the right side of the magnet.
Moved the pictures and make transition longer / shorter etc.
I did nothing else. No filters. No other pictures.
Then something strange happened:
- I can’t move the playhead more right than 11 seconds.
- I can’t remove the empty space between right picture and the transition. I also can’t get the space and the right picture with keys ALT+Arrow left /Right.
- It is not possible to move the right pictures direct on the transition again.
- With ALT+Arrows I only can select the left picture and the transition
- The timeline timecode also stops at 11 Seconds.
- I also can move the picture out of the time line.
in the end I moved the picture before the transition and then back again, now time stamps look normal again. And empty space is gone, too.
Too bad that I forgot to save the project file so that it can be reproduced before that…
Another question:
Sometimes it happens that the link between transition and clip is missing while dragging the image or video.
I found out that this always happens if dragging a image and pressing another mouse key while dragging. The empty space can’t be selected.
And this space is gone if moving the image again.
Is this normal?
And it is not possible to make the transition smaller if there is no link between transition and image.
Next test, crash
I tried again some things in timeline, tried to reproduce the first issue.
I created a space between transition and second picture again.
The space is not available for keys ALT+Left/Right
Accidentally clicked on this space - shotcut crashed.
