Hello, I am using the latest version of Shotcut (version 26.8.1). When I create a slideshow, it works fine, but as soon as I move it—whether to the same track or a different one—there is a slight glitch or instability right before the transition, yet I don’t see anything in the filter settings.

You didn’t provide any of your steps (or your operating system).
Did you create the slideshow manually, or did you use the Playlist Add selected to Slideshow feature?
I don’t see any glitch when creating a slideshow from the Playlist and moving it.
Can you provide a screen recoding of this glitch you experience?
Sorry, I’m on Windows 11 version 25H2, 16GB RAM.
Yes, I used the “Add to slideshow” feature from the playlist.
It’s a one-hour edit featuring both video and audio.
The issue lies with the transitions, though nothing shows up in the filters.
It is, of course, visible once exported.
A screenshot wouldn’t be helpful, so here is a video clip instead.

I’ve had this happen to me a few times, in my case it was easier to just re-do the slideshow as I only had like 5-10 pictures and noticed it quite quickly.
The second time I tried it it just worked correctly, I have no idea why the difference.
Alors le diaporama est correct quand il est créér, il se positionne en fin de piste ou au début d’une nouvelle piste, jusque là c’est correct.
Je le déplace en copier ou en couper et c’est là que le probléme ce produit.
C’est etonnant car la première transision est correct, c’est à partir de la deuxiéme photo.
La résolution est correct en 4000x3000
J’ai parfois réussi à corriger ce bug en faisant des manipulations dans les premieres potos mais je n’arrive pas à reroduire la résolution.
J’ai pas mal de diaporama donc je refais tout à la main…
D’ailleur, je compprends pas pourquoi à la création d’un diaporama, il ne se positionne pas au niveau du curseur ?

The slideshow is fine when it’s first created; it positions itself at the end of the track or at the start of a new one—so far, so good.
The problem arises when I move it (using copy or cut).
It’s strange because the first transition is correct; the issue starts from the second photo onwards.
The resolution is fine (4000x3000).
I’ve managed to fix this bug a few times by tweaking the initial photos, but I can’t seem to replicate the fix consistently.
I have quite a few slideshows, so redoing everything manually is a hassle…
Also, I don’t understand why the slideshow doesn’t position itself at the cursor’s location when it’s created.

Ah oui et mêm souci avec ce réglage.
Je me doutais bien car ce n’est pas à la création mais ensuite au déplacement du diaporama !
Oh right, and I have the same issue with that setting.
I suspected as much, since it doesn’t happen during creation but rather when moving the slideshow!

J’ai pu supprimer le lien.
Concernant ce bug au début des transitions aprés avoir créé un diaporama en automatique et l’avoir déplacé au bon endroit, il n’est n’est pas résolu. J’ai fini mon diaporama en faisant les transitions manuellement sur au moins 50 photos.
Je n’ai d’ailleur pas eu de réponse concernant la possibilité d’avoir directement le diaporama au niveau du curseur dans la piste sééctionné ?

I was able to delete the link.
As for the bug occurring at the start of transitions—which happens after creating an automatic slideshow and moving it to the correct location—it has not been resolved. I ended up finishing my slideshow by applying the transitions manually to at least 50 photos.
Also, I haven’t received an answer regarding the possibility of placing the slideshow directly at the playhead position on the selected track.
