Size, Position and Rotation Filter changes color of videos

  • What is your operating system?

Windows 10

  • What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?

26.1.30

  • Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

Size, Position and Rotate Filter changes colors and brightness when combined with Color Filters.
This happens in all projects.
I’m very sure this is a bug in the new version and it has not been present in the version before this one.

Video:

It’s a minor thing, but as a perfectionist, this is getting on my nerves a lot.
It also happens in the rendered Version.
Is this a real bug or is there a quick fix to this?

EDIT:
It appears like solely putting a picture, that includes transparency, on top is enough to change the color of the background:

Again, is there anything I can do here to fix this?

I reproduced.
A workaround I found is to move the Size, Position & Rotate filter above the Hue/Lightness/Saturation filter.

Oh man, Occam’s Razor, it was the simplest solution
Thanks buddy! :))

If it works, an easy solution.
But in my opinion, something needs to be changed in the programming.
It shouldn’t be necessary to change the position of the filters until it fits?!

I did mention that it is a workaround. Not a fix.

Every filter with the #color tag (Filters > + > Video drop-down > Color)? Or only the one you happen to be using? I did not reproduce it with the Color Grading filter. Your screen recording cuts off the timeline in case something about track layering is involved, and you did not provide steps.

It appears like solely putting a picture, that includes transparency, on top is enough to change the color of the background:

I have not reproduced it. What is below? What are the steps?

Here are some steps:

Processing mode: 8-bit (10-bit does not reproduce)
Video Mode: HD 1080P
Source file: Standard HD 709 source file

  1. Open video file in player (does not need to be on the timeline)
  2. Add Hue/Saturation/Lightness Filter and shift the hue
  3. Add SPR filter

Notice the color changes with the SPR filter enabled.

Colors without SPR (look at the zoom scope):

Colors with SPR:

I have reproduced it with 26.2.16 and 25.12.31. I have not tested further back than that.

I wonder if it could be related to this seemingly similar issue. I have been working on both of these and have not been able to find a clue about the problem(s):
