Hello, I have been using Shotcut for a while to cut smaller iPhone videos. It has always worked without any problems. But for about 2 weeks, when I load a video into Shotcut, it just stutters during playback and my laptop (CPI) is at 100% capacity. There is actually enough RAM free. I haven’t actually changed anything on the laptop (Win10), apart from possibly upgrading from Microsoft. Does anyone know the problem and can someone help me? Many thanks! Regards, M.
Basic question, but is it Shotcut that is taking up 100% CPU? Or is it some other process, like a virus checker running in the background? There is a tab in Task Manager that shows CPU usage by program to help diagnose the problem.
If Shotcut is using 100% of the processor, and not some other application, it could be generating waveforms in the background. It would be interesting to just let it sit for 10 minutes and see if the processor utilization goes down.
