Shotcut slows and stops working then (not responding) occurs. My PC is:
i5-7400 3GHz 16GB Ram SSL drive 64 bit with an Intel HD Graphics 630. I should be able to easily produce HD quality videos based on what I’ve read.
The videos I’m creating are only 2-3 minutes long using stock video footage clips which are all mp4’s under 20MB in size. My music is from mp3’s created on Studio One.
Shotcut appears to be overwhelming my CPU but I don’t why. Even more odd is the first video I did on it worked flawlessly from editing to rendering. I was so excited then everything ground to a (not responding) halt. Any thoughts? Are my settings wrong?

That was just great. Thanks. I was able to apply proxy while I watched your video and throw together a video with a few cross fades and fade in fade out no problem…

Same here, after having some videos added, some filters, total around 15min of video, Shotcuts is continuously not responding, once in a while a key strike/mouse klick is getting through. Remark: CPU is not 100% during these cases, the program seems to loop and repeating not responding.
