Shotcut not following system theme (on Windows 10)

What is your operating system?
Windows 10 Home

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?
22.03.30 64-bit

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

  1. On Windows: Settings > Colours > Choose your colour: Dark
  2. On Shotcut: Settings > Theme > System, Restart > Yes

Shotcut reloads with Fusion Light theme, not Fusion Dark, as it should.

I see this has already been reported, and the issue closed with a provided patch, but that didn’t fix it for me either (besides, it was for v20.10.31, and presumably would already have been incorporated by now).

Not a biggie for me, as I’m hardly ever ‘out of the dark’, but I thought I’d report it anyway.

Can’t duplicate.

Shotcut is already set to Fusion Dark.
Windows was already set to Windows Dark.
Set it to Windows Light.
Set it back to Windows Dark.
Changed Shotcut to System theme, it restarted, and still on System theme.

“System” on Windows is the old system - Vista & 7 - as provided by the UI library we use - and does not read the palette in modern Windows. It is similar to Fusion Light but not the same. I should probably rename this menu item on Windows. I think there might be a new theme in the library to correspond to modern Windows, but that might require a major upgrade, which is in progress.
