Shotcut 18.06.02 - CBR Dual Pass Not Encoding 60FPS

Hi,

I’m trying to encode a 30+ min video at 60FPS but Shotcut keeps producing 30FPS even though the setting is at 60FPS. It appears to only work if DUAL PASS is disabled when using Constant Bitrate.

Any advice is greatly appreciated …

Thanks,

Which export preset are you using?
Is the original video you’re editing recorded at 60fps?

[Update]

I managed to get the video encoded using “59.940 (60000/1001) FPS” which is the same as the source. (see details below).

So not totally clear on why Shotcut won’t do 60 FPS and defaults to the lower 30 FPS.

I do not know why it did not work for you; it works for me using a similar source clip with same export settings. in Settings, my Video Mode is set to Automatic.

My video mode is set to “UHD 2160p 60 fps”.

Does the video mode actually override the export profiles or export settings ?

Only if you don’t select an export mode/preset before exporting.
Otherwise what you select is what you should get.

The Video Mode determines the defaults for the Video tab of the Export panel.
