I started this project yesterday, and now when I try to load it, Shortcut Software crashes and restarts. I tried creating a new project, added a few files, and loaded it up, and it worked fine. It seems that only this specific mlt is causing the software to crash.
I’m concerned that if I redo the project and try to load it again, it will crash once more.
So, I’m wondering if the issue could be with my PC or if the MLT file itself is corrupted.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

For what it is worth, I was able to load your project and substitute my own media without a problem.
If you are loading the project by double-clicking the .mlt file in Explorer try by first starting Shotcut and then open the project.
I previously tested on Linux, but I see from your project file it was made on Windows with Shotcut v24.09. When I tried with that version it crashed, but the latest version (25.01) loads it fine.
The reason it crashed is because you have added a Subtitle Burn In video filter, and subtitle with no items. This is a known bug in that first version that added those features, fixed the next month.
