The in-program FF is way too quick if paying attention to detail while skimming, probably around 8x speed. I’ve been using MP4-HC to skim videos in double speed for this reason, but a lot of time ends up wasted from the extra steps of alt-tabbing, having to enter the timestamp into Shotcut’s Timeline, and resulting forgetfulness from going back and forth and trying to speed the process up a bit. Adding a Shotcut option to change the Fastforward/Rewind multiplier speed under Settings>Player to a few set values like 2x and 4x would be a godsend.
Alternatively, if there is a way to change this from tweaking some scary coding in the “Programs Files\Shotcut” directory’s files, that too would be wonderful.
