Rich text scroll left grays out all other options

First time using Text: Rich instead of Text HTML. I’m attempting to have a longer scrolling message across the top of my video (Scroll Left) yet my message is longer than the text box. If I don’t resize the text book, the whole message covers my video while scrolling left. If I resize the text box to just the top of the screen, then the rest of the text doesn’t appear. Help please

1. Paste your text into the box
2. Resize the box so that it is one line high and as wide as the text (hint, you may need to zoom way out in the preview window
3. Apply the scroll left preset
