Hi All,
I am new with Shotcut interface and just started exploring… can anyone please guide me about to create quiz video with Shotcut ?

Video doesn’t really lend itself well to quizes. But a very simple way of doing it would be to create a set of clips with the questions, followed by a set of clips with the answers.

To create a clip:

  • use the “Open Other” button and choose “Text”
  • type your question or answer (style it as desired)
  • drag the clip to the timeline and drag its right-hand edge to set the amount of time the clip is displayed.

Maybe @Sulekha_Sen means something like one of the quizzes found on YouTube

For example:

  • An image is displayed
  • Then a timer, counting down the seconds you have to identify the content of the image
  • Then the solution is displayed.

The first step is to learn how to use Shotcut.
If you want to create something similar to the video I shared above, you need to learn how to use the filters needed to resize and position video clips, image clips and text clips. You also need to learn how to use keyframes for animation. And many more things

We can’t teach you all that in one forum post.
It’s like asking a surgeon to teach you how to perform a heart transplant in a few words.

I made this very simplified version of the quiz shown in the video above.
Only one item, so no transition between multiple questions.

It will give you an idea of some of the work involved in such a project.

You need:-
A background image
The image of subject to be guessed
A countdown timer (just download a video file from the internet)
And a text or image of the answer.

Open shotcut,create a project, add all those files in the playlist.
Place the background image at bottom, press ctrl+I to add another track then place subject, again create another track and add the countdown, again create a new track, and then from the time that countdown ends, add the answer, you can adjust the clips position by dragging left to right.

I would believe this is very basic, just watch a tutorial from YouTube on how to use shotcut.
