Program refuses to load Video clip into the Timeline

Hello,
Video clip loaded into playlist.
While dragging it to the timeline, get the “No Entrance” (as traffic sign), and cannot do anything, it is not on the timeline.
Some other video editing program accepts it, and edited it there.
Even the edited video cannot be loaded into the timeline.
Where is the problem ?
Answers will be appreciated.
