Preview Scaling Causes Size Filter To Display Elements at Wrong Size

Linux, Shotcut installed via Flatpak.

• Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

1. Create a video project at some arbitrary size above 720p (so 1080, 1440, all should be fine).

2. Add a video to the timeline at the specified resolution.

3. Turn on Preview Scaling at Settings > Preview Scaling. Pick anything 720p or lower.

4. Add a jpg or png image to the timeline, in a new video track above the first video track.

5. Add the Size, Position, and Rotate filter to the image, and set the size mode to “fit”.

6. Export the video.

ISSUE: The image, when exported, is smaller than the editing preview port showed in Shotcut. This can also be seen by turning Preview Scaling off and on–the image will be smaller when it is off and proportionally larger when it is on.

EXPECTED: Elements added to the video tracks should be exported at the size displayed in the viewport, whether or not Preview Scaling is turned on; what is show in the preview should be accurate to what is exported.
