Opening up projects starts the timeline playhead at 00:00:00.017, rather than 0

  • What is your operating system?

macOS Sonoma 14.8.4

  • What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?

Shotcut 26.2.26

  • Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

Yes; I’ve observed this when opening up any of my existing projects. I just tried this with a brand new project with an audio clip added (created project, added audio into it, saved + closed, reopened). I don’t know if there’s a more useful repro process, but I’d be happy to try it and report back.

Yup, I see this too (Shotcut version 26.2.14 on Debian sid). It starts at 00:00:00.033 for me (perhaps it depends on frame rate?). Hitting the button to skip to the beginning then resets the play head to 00:00:00.000.

Ah! I wouldn’t be surprised, all of the projects I saw this with were in 60 FPS, which might line up?

Yup, mine’s 30 FPS (or really 29.97). Yeah, okay, basically it’s starting at frame 1 instead of frame 0.

This is fixed for the next version 26.04
