New "Slide and Rotate" Transitions created with Overlay HTML filter

I did more experimenting with this and used @elusien’s “Mask: Simple shape - Neil” new filter to produce this Matte (black and white) short video (I keyframed rotation, width and height to animate the black rectangle over a white background) :

In a new SC project, I overlapped two clips (one on V1, the other on V2) and applied a “Mask from file” filter to the top clip (on V2), and selected “custom”, then pointed to the mp4 file above.

It works!
Then I made 4 more matte videos in a similar style.
My video below gives more detail and two examples of the transitions in action:

An interesting way of using the filter to produce animation masks - didn’t think of that.

Jon, it’s not really my filter. All I did was edit the user interface to introduce Keyframes into a coupe of parameters. I wouldn’t want to take the credit for the actual filter whose author is Marko Cebokli.

Practical and beautiful.
If asked, for me they are candidates to be added by default in SC updates.
Great job

Completely agree.

Ah, thanks @Elusien for the clarification.

Thanks, @ejmillan and @Paul2 . If you mean that my “Slide and rotate” mp4 files should be included as an inbuilt feature of SC, I doubt if they would, (don’t think matte transition files would be included in the download), but I agree, I think the adapted “Mask: Simple Shape” filter with keyframeable rotation and softness certainly would be a welcome and useful addition.

I’m happy to upload my matte .mp4 files here if anyone would like to use them. I’ll try to put them on here when I get some free time (next day or so).

Yeah, that’s what I meant.
Greetings.

Ah, Ok, sorry, I misunderstood! All agreed then!!:smiley:
