Move multiple clip does not work the 1st time, bug in 20.09.27?

Hi, I click on first and last clip of track effectively selecting it all.
Then i drag them at the end of another track.
Lots of time, probably when there is a transition, some clip remains on the old track.
Then i press CTRL+Z and i repeat the operation and it works perfectly.

Is this a bug of 20.09.27 (Linux mint) ?

As alternative, instead of dragging with the mouse, is there a way to do cut and paste of the selection?

Thank you as always great people

Hi @Antonio_Gallo
Does this problem occur every time you try to move multiple clips ?

I tried to reproduce with V20.09.27:
I had 3 clips side by side on track V1, with a transition between each clip.
1 clip on track V2
Track V3 empty
I selected all clips and transitions on track V1 and moved them on track V3 without problem.

Are you 100% sure ALL the clips & transitions were selected when you moved them ?

For now, it’s impossible to copy (or cut) multiple clips in Shotcut. But this is item 2 on the Road Map of the developers.

Try to move them at the end of a non empty track.
Any website i can upload a video clip to show you?

YouTube, or Steamable

I tried that. Still no problem.

Here you go  Its quite easy to reproduce to me, its happening every time:

I don’t think this will make a difference, but try turning Ripple off before moving your tracks.

with “ripple trim and drop” off seems not happening… i will let you know later after a couple of more video editing

I hope it was just that. I wasn’t sure it would work because on my computer, I didn’t reproduce the problem even with Ripple ON

Yes, i did a really complex move of like 50 clips and with that option off is not happening.
Should di put this as bug on github?

I don’t think so. Unless the problem also occurs on the latest version.

Bugs with older versions will not be fixed.
