Mosaic obscure doesn't fill the selected area

I’ve spent some time trying to figure out why when I apply Obscure with Mosaic filter and select the face, I see the sides of the face under half transparent mosaic face.

There is a Blur alpha option in Blur:Box filter, which, if cleared, makes blur fill the simple mask I create. There is no such option in Mosaic filter. And it would be nice to add it.

So far I have found a workaround:
Before Mask: Apply I have added Alpha Channel: Adjust with Mode set to Threshold and Amount set to 0.

Another issue with Mosaic filter is that when I apply Chroma Key: Advanced filter, and below that Obscure with Mosaic, Mosaic filter takes the unprocessed green screen, and I have to render an intermediate video to obscure correctly.

And thank you for an awesome tool!

Hi @boogie

Did you increase the Softness value of the Mask: Simple Shape filter ?

Try moving the Chroma Key: Advanced filter below all the other filters

Thank you for the hint with the filters order, I thought it’s opposite, now it works better!
No, I did not increase the softness of the mask. Try clicking other filter to hide the borders of the mask and you’ll see that around the inner part there are semi-transparent pixels with parts of the face. View Alpha filter shown there’s not 100% opacity on the sides.

Simply add an Alpha Channel: Adjust filter with the Mode = Threshold

Then, you can save this as a custom Filter Set.
