Missing files on export, but fine on editing

Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS version on an older PC.
Mainboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. F2A88XM-HD3
AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics × 4
RAM 8 GB
Hard disk 500 GB

shotcut 24.11.17

Just finished a video file, I completely watched it without trouble. All videos / pictures are visible while watching.

So I want to export it. But now shotcut says it can’t find some file. But it doesn’t tell it there.
Suggestion: Would be great to directly show what is wrong here:

I opened the logfile and it shows that two files can’t be found.
But I can see those files in shotcut in the media list, in player and in timeline. No trouble.

I saved project. Closed and opened shotcut again. Still not works.

I exported video by hitting the “ignorieren” / “ignore” button. But then the two pictures in video stream are missing and I see white screen on the video positions.

I even copied the two complete folder/file name strings from the shotcut logfile and put them in ubuntu file explorer - both images are found.

Would be interesting to know why those files are visible in the video timeline and it can be played, but not exported.

Found the problem: I removed the crossfade between both pictures in timeline and added new crossfade again. Now I can export without trouble.
I don’t think I made something wrong… ideas?

If you look at the file name that can not be found, it is some kind of mangled combination of the file name and the producer name. I am not sure how to get it into that state. If you find some steps to make it happen again, let me know.

Thanks, I first compared the mlt file which causes that error and the new mlt file in which I deleted and added again the transition between the two images.

Producer IDs of both images are changed, although I didn’t remove/add them. Only the transition was removed

Property mix was added at the end of tags of the transition. Before change it was between other tags.
But the order of tags should not cause a problem I suppose.

I used windmerge on my windows laptop to compare the two files.

I also found out that even after repairing this problem, I saw a white screen for less then 1 second on the next transition in exported video.
It was not visible in preview video in shotcut.
I deleted the transition, extended images again and add transition again. This fixed it.

How to avoid this ? Would be great to find this out before exporting. Export takes 20…30min. And so I need to do it again and again if I find white screens.
