Hi all,
i just downloaded latest release “shotcut-win64-160901.exe”. After download has finished my Anit-Malware-App “360 Total Security” reported a Trojan after checking the file … and put it into quarantine…
Is there any known issue about trojans/viruses in the latest installer package? Is the package package checked with an antivirus software?
from where? That is an extremely important detail!
No
Yes, using Windows Defender in Windows 10
I do not normally use 360 Total Security, but I just now installed it, downloaded the Shotcut installer through the official download location, scanned it, and there are “No threats found.”
Downloaded it again from the official location. NO Malware detected anymore. I m not sure where from i did my first download. I ll try some locations and report if something is wrong.
Thank you
Thom
PS: Did some downloads… and couldnt reproduce the malware alarm. Looks like 360 total security update their database in the meantime.
