Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Trivially easy to reproduce!
So the problem: when I add a Text: Rich box filter to an image and I center it, it makes this weird padding that gets worse the farther you go to the sides.
To reproduce just make a Text: Rich, add text, center it and then move it.
My video is in 4:3 aspect ratio but I doubt that’s why

Works fine for me on version 21-03-21. A picture paints a thousand words, so if you would please post a screenshot of the whole Shotcut window showing the problem someone may be able to help better.
