Shotcut Doesent Want To Play Nice With My MTS Files (These Files Recorded Of A 2010 JVC Camcorder. Audio Is Fine But Video Shows Only On Source. Not On Project. Only Shows A Grayscale Grid. Here Is A Visual:

Try to disable hardware preview scaling, maybe that’s messing up the preview in timeline for your sistem.
Settings → Preview scaling → uncheck Use hardware decoder
unchecked. didnt work
You did not show the action of adding where it works (Source player) to where it is on the timeline. Select the clip on the timeline and go to Properties > Video >Track. Is there another option besides None? I have MTS files, and they work fine in general
OK, in general, when you have a problem with certain files in Shotcut use Properties > Convert. MTS is MPEG-2 transport stream, which is generally bad news for video editing.
