Is something wrong with my audio settings?

Platform: Windows 11
Shotcut Version: 25.08.16

I recently updated Shotcut from a version that was released in 2023 or 2024 (cant remember the version number of what i had before) and after updating, ALL of my audio in the program is completely messed up, it sounds as if parts of the audio is missing, and it keeps playing, not playing, playing, not playing, etc. and i do not know why, and i have not changed any settings at all.

This is what it sounds like in Shotcut after updating. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Try the different options in Settings > Player > Audio API

Thanks, changing it to DirectSound fixed the issue!
