When I open Shotcut, the main screen is so small it hurts my eyes. How do I increase the main display screen size?

Text and icon size depends on the display scale settings in your operating system. You can override these using the --QT_SCALE_FACTOR command line option:

Try with a value of 1.5 or 2.
