Is there already a sensible solution to insert downloaded srt files into Shotcut?
I don’t think there is a possible solution for this, you need to use third party tools here to convert .srt to .mlt or .mp4.

I am also in the processing of creating an application to easily burn-in .srt files using Shotcut. I hope to have the app available later this week.
