How to update the video clip already in the track?

Hi,

I put a video clip into a track, if I change/modify the video, the clip wont get update in the track/mlt file automatically. Is there any way to make that update? or I have to drag the modified clip to the track again? Thanks.

The clip in the playlist is not the same as the clip on the timeline, they are separate copies pointing to the same source video on disk. when you are making changes to the timeline clip, the original playlist clip don’t change

There is a “Replace” operation that replaces the selected timeline clip with whatever is in the source player. Right click a clip and select “Replace” or use the “R” keyboard shortcut.

I figured it out after asking google bard. This will save me lots of time. I feel so dumb now.
