How do I select every clip on all tracks where my playhead is currently positioned?

For instance I have a large number of tracks and clips in a project, but at the 10 minute mark, only a few tracks have clips at that instant in the timeline. The other tracks contain clips before, or after, but not at the 10 minute mark. the tracks that do have clips at the 10 minute mark also have clips before and after them. But I want only the clips which cross the 10 minute mark to be selected. I can position my playhead? I want to select these so I can split just these clips with “s” at the playhead. I thought Ctrl+space would do it, but it doesn’t seem to do anything???

Position the Playhead then either:

  • Use the Shift + S keyboard shortcut
  • Go to the Timeline menu and: Edit > Split All Tracks at Playhead

This will split EVERY clip under the Playhead.

Suppose you only want to split the clips on tracks V3, V5 and V7:

  • Position the playhead
  • Select the 3 clips
  • Click the Split button or use the S key on your keyboard.

Ooooh, I didn’t know about Shift+S. Thank you, that’s even better!
