How can I get shotcut to recognize and separate two audio tracks in MKV or MP4?

I am using OBS to record desktop on one track, and microphone on a second track as MKV.
The file comes out fine but I can’t figure out how to separate the tracks in order to adjust volume on each one.

You would need to duplicate the clip on another track.

On the first track, select the first audio track in the properties panel
On the second track, select the second audio track in the properties panel
You can disable the video in the second track if you want

Now that you’ve shown that I’ve also learned I can set that under properties, and then separate the audio track for each one.
