You can show the log file by going to View > Application Log. Usually there is no form submit, we just paste or upload it here. About your crashes, there is some info in the FAQ here. If none of that works or helps then it would be fine to show a log file or crash report here too.
Crash logs are not yet available. For Windows, the runtime we use (MinGW) severely limits what tools we can integrate for crash log reporting. On Windows, I actually have something integrated for a debug build that only a developer can make their self to see after experiencing crash. Shipping a debug build makes a much larger download and slightly slower. Quite a bit of additional work is required to make an alternative debug build available for download that it just has not yet happened. The simple activity log available through the AppData folder or View menu is usually not enough information. But, you can locate the log file on your Windows 7 machine, and upload that so we can see something about your machine configuration.
yes, Lauren, I did read about log files, on account of my windows crash experience…
and just as you say that one can upload the content of the log file… I thought that whenever a crash happens, it could be interesting info for the developers…
but yes, Dan, I didn’t take it into account that crash logs need to be generated first
and that it’d take a lot of extra programming…
my idea came from “reading” a log file after a crash, and falsely identifying it as a crash report
