HELP: Video with zoomed in footage doesn't export at the correction position

Hey so I’m making a reaction compilation which includes a lot of footage where I’ve manually zoomed in on people’s faces during moments of exaggerated expression. The video came out almost perfectly except for the fact that all of the zoomed in footage rendered at a slightly different location than what I set it to on the timeline. For example, rather than having it zoomed in on a person’s eyes, it will be on their chest.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

What version are you using?

In the version 21.05.01 and 21.05.18 there is a bug of having unwanted Keyframes in a video. If you are using one of them, then you might switch to the latest stable version 21.03.21.

Hope, it helps you!

Looks like I’m way behind, I checked & I’m on ver. 20.07.11.

Gonna update, re-export & get back with my results in a few hours.

I don’t know if the same bug was in version 20.07.11, because I first used shotcut in 2013 and the second time in 2020 and the version that I used in 2020 was 20.09.XX. But switching to the latest version will provide you more stability and better performance.

Be sure to backup your project before updating.
There are major changes from your version to the current stable version.
Specific changes to zooming.

Okay I went back through my footage on the timeline & it appears the changes have been made there too. So somehow the values of my zoomed in footage were altered during the export & saved to the project. Gonna redo these before exporting again & see if it repeats that.
