Good Computer for Shotcut

I’m looking at 2 computers;
Intel core i5 with 16 GB memory
Intel core i7 with 8GB memory

Any advice on whether the RAM or processor would be more important for shotcut?

Any recommendations in general on a good computer for Shotcut?

It depends on what you are intending to use Shotcut for. e.g. if you want to edit/create 4K videos you need a minimum of 16GB of memory and a CPU with 4 cores (see: Shotcut - Frequently Asked Questions)
