Follow Path changes the object's position and does not update correctly when the path is edited

I am experiencing an issue with the Follow Path feature in Glaxnimate.

I have an object (for example, a small bubble) and a Bezier path. The object is initially positioned exactly where I want it to start.

When I right-click the object and select Follow Path, its position immediately changes, even though I have not changed the path or the object’s intended starting position.

There are two problems:

  1. The object’s initial position changes unexpectedly
As soon as I apply Follow Path, the object is moved from its original position. I would expect the object to remain at its current position, or at least have an option to preserve its current position as the starting point of the path.
  2. Editing the original path does not properly update the object’s movement
After applying Follow Path, if I edit the Bezier path by moving its nodes or changing its shape, the object’s animation does not follow the newly edited path. It continues to move along the previous path.

We do not make Glaxnimate, but I think these two things are simply inherent to how it works. To follow the path, it needs to move the shapes. It does maintain a linkage between the shapes with a spatial offset. You need to work with how it works. Glaxnimate has its own forum: Topics tagged glaxnimate
