Filters - window size
Please advise: I only have 7 lines in the filter menu. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a feature of the program? If I have set it up incorrectly, please advise me on how to increase the number of lines. If it is a feature, would it be possible to increase it to at least 12 lines? As it is, it is not user-friendly for me. Thank you and apologies for what may be a trivial question for others.
No, See the scroll bar or use the mouse wheel.
It is also possible to widen the dock containing the filter panel to switch to landscape view (filter list on the left, settings on the right). This creates ample vertical space to display a long list of filters.
On that note, @Shotcut, do you think it would be possible to move to the left the threshold at which the filter panel changes configuration? Currently, you have to expand the dock by more than half the width of the screen to switch to landscape view, which leaves a considerable amount of wasted space.
I think your “wasted space” depends on the current filter. Try Color Grading, for example.
vertical
minimum horizontal
Now, that was done on Linux. I see the threshold for Windows is different in the code with a comment regarding a good experience with the common 150% display scale, but that was from year 2020, before a major Qt upgrade that improved display scale handling.
OK, I reduced it on Windows.
