Failed to read version.json when checking

Hello all,

Good day.

I recently downloaded the appimage file for the latest version and I’m getting a message upon opening it saying “Failed to read version.json when checking. Click here to go to the website”

This is happening on both, the appimage and the portable version 22.12.21

Question is, is this normal to happen and will it notify if there is a new version available instead of the message described above?

I’m running it on Linux Mint 21.

Welcome to OpenSSL3 API breakage on Linux. A future version this year will fix it and break on older versions of Linux. Of course, it cannot notify you in the meantime, and you need to check manually periodically.

I’ll keep an eye of new versions and continue using the latest AppImage version for the time being.
