Error: snap "shotcut" requires classic or confinement override

Snap install on Ubuntu 16.10 gives this message…

Did you try to install with this command?

sudo snap install shotcut --classic

no, was not aware of that, (not familiar with snap)

Yes, it installed , interestingly, the shortcut in Ubuntu does not work, starting from terminal gives:

and nothing else happens so I Ctrl-C it…

I have three machines with Ubuntu 16.04,Kubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu-Gnome 16.04.This snap installs and it runs with no issues on all three.
I am guessing that you got problem with drivers on your system. Symbolic links of libGL libraries are broken and can’t find your drivers so Shotcut cannot utilize them…
Am no expert on this, so can’t really help…

Just want to say thanks to Srbuntu for the --classic flag, I am new to snaps and was not aware of this option. Also thanks to Dan for keeping up the great work on Shotcut and the continued Linux support. It’s invaluable. Runs good on a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Ubuntu Mate 16.04.
