With the new versions, Shotcut does not run anymore under Windows 11. Currently, I reinstalled the newest version of Shotcut (downloaded shotcut-win64-26.9.27.exe). Is there anybody out there who knows about this issue?
The message reads in English:
C:\Program Files\Shotcut\Qt6QmlMeta.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Reinstall the program using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0e90002
There are many posts about this. I am not going to do your searching. Your antivirus is blocking some DLLs. The DLL itself is not a problem. The antivirus does not use hard rules; it simply blocks new things it has not encountered previously. One way to avoid this is by purchasing Shotcut from the Microsoft Store.
Thank you for the solution! Please add to the [Windows installer] button the note that Windows users should install it from the Microsoft Store. Or even better: clicking this button should open this store with Shotcut selected.
