Shotcut doesn’t have a built-in BPM (beats per minute) feature, so you’ll need to manually sync your edits to the audio’s rhythm by ear.

But we all came to the conclusion that you need to feel when to make a transition, and BPM is just an auxiliary tool, which in most cases is useless, if only because there are no clear beats in live performance.

Right now playing the timeline is the only way I guess, you just need to know where does the beat come and add a marker at those points, then edit as you want. As @TLR_Pictures there’s no dedicated feature for such.

Play. When there is a beat you are interested in press M to add a marker.
