Dual Boot computer not able to get files from second operating system

Windows 10 / Ubuntu 18.04 / Running Shotcut version 19.08.16 on Ubuntu.
I can’t get to any Windows partitioned drives (3) when trying to open a file. The drives and partitions are not listed.

Any suggestions, other than moving/copying a few hundred gb of files to the Ubuntu partition?

I did copy one file to the Ubuntu Video folder to see how the program works, and so far, so good. I use Windows Movie Maker on Windows, and Shotcut seems to be like it. I know it’s a dual boot computer, but I’m trying to wean myself from Microsoft.

Your question’s not really Shotcut related, but check out post #2 here, it might help you access the Windows partitions.

Shotcut is far superior to Windows Movie Maker.

The link you sent me was about 1,000 years old, (well, more than 10 anyway) but I did read through it. Somewhere, I read about being able to do it through the disk app. I found it at: /user/share/me/applications/disks. Mounted the drives and was able to find the drives at /media/me/drivename.

What confused me was that the file manager was always able to see the drives under “Other Locations”.

Thanks a lot.
