Difference between default and youtube export?

I made a project and then exported it using two settings: default and youtube, just to see the differences
the default one ended up 6mb less storage but I don’t notice anything different
is there a difference between the two?

Only the GOP size is different. YouTube guidelines suggest 15 frames, which is rather silly short. But I had to keep that because the whole point of the preset is to give something as close as possible to their guidelines. Default gives better compression for a faster upload with no cost to quality.

Do you plan to make presets for other social media videos as well? Tiktok, Instagram, etc.

I doubt that it’s worth it. There are hundreds of social media sites and even the top 8 (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube) have multiple formats for videos, see:

All Dan did for Youtube was to set the GOP size to YT’s preference, 15 ,which is pretty silly as it all this does is create much larger filesizes than the default, which take much longer to upload to YT.
